Signal Light Pole

Signal Light Pole is a supporting structure for installing traffic lights, monitoring equipment, etc. Sometimes, it also supports other devices, including pedestrian signs, speed limit warning signs and vehicle sensors.
These light poles are composed of a pole body, a base, a cross arm, lamps and signal lights. The height of the pole body is generally determined by the width of the road, traffic flow and line of sight requirements, usually between 3 meters and 8 meters. The base is usually buried a certain depth underground and connected to the pole body by anchor bolts and other means.
Among them, red light cameras are often installed on or on top of metal poles, slightly before or after the traffic lights. When in use, the color and arrangement of the signal lights on their cross arms need to comply with traffic regulations to keep traffic smooth and driving safe.

Main Types
Single Cantilever Signal Light Pole
This kind of ligh pole has only one cross arm, pointing in one direction of the road. It is suitable for one-way lanes or intersections with low traffic flow.

Double Cantilever Signal Light Pole
It has two cross arms, which are installed on both sides of the road, suitable for two-way lanes or intersections with high traffic flow.

Gantry Signal Light Pole
It consists of two or more columns and a beam across the road, and is suitable for large traffic arteries such as highways and urban expressways. However, its structure is huge, and installation and maintenance require professional personnel to operate.
